A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you have a cloud web hosting plan with us and you want to enable the catch-all option for a certain email mailbox that you’ve got in the hosting account, it will take literally just one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available next to each and every email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in your account. You can pick one single address per domain by clicking on the respective button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button again will disable the catch-all feature. If you have active email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notice and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature till you disable the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled with ease if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a mini symbol conveniently located right next to each one of them. With just one single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature using the menu that will come into sight. If any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
